New Hampshire Real Estate License Requirements

The following lists any applicable pre-licensing, continuing education, renewal, and reciprocity requirements for New Hampshire real estate licensing.

Real Estate Education Requirements:
  • New Hampshire real estate salesperson license: 40 hours (of these, no more than 8 hours may be distance education)
  • New Hampshire real estate broker license: 60 hours
State Reciprocity:

If an out-of-state licensee who applies for a New Hampshire salesperson license holds an active real estate license in good standing, they may apply for a New Hampshire license, taking only the New Hampshire portion of the license exam.

Continuing Education And/Or License Renewal Requirements:
  • Real estate professionals in New Hampshire need to renew their licenses every two years from the date their licenses were issued
  • Licensees must take 15 hours of real estate CE classes, including 12 hours of electives and 3 hours of core courses
